As a responsible owner and operator of essential social infrastructure, we strive to maintain the highest standards through strict compliance with the environmental permits under which our facilities operate. We also adhere to the codes of conduct set by numerous industry bodies of which we are a member, and work closely with trade associations, government and other stakeholders to promote our role within waste management and resource recovery.
We operate an Integrated Management System (IMS) that covers all of our operating sites and applies to all aspects of our operations and maintenance programmes. Bringing together our systems, processes and standards into one unified framework helps improve performance and efficiency while establishing accountability and providing oversight to ensure compliance with our regulatory obligations.
In 2023 our IMS was certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), a recognised external body according to: ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management; ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management; and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management.
Our Rookery South and Newhurst facilities also undertake detailed certification audits and have received triple ISO certifications as a result.
